SKOLL ORIGIN

Skoll, from Old Norse mythology, is a giant wolf that chases the Sun (personified as a goddess, Sól) riding her chariot across the sky. Skoll's brother Hati chases the moon. In their persistent chase, this pair of wolves cause the daily rise and set of the sun and moon.

CONCEPT EXLORATION: SKOLL

One of several brand concepts develoned for an exclusive retailer, Sköll was an early standout. Though it didn't make the final cut, it remains one of the most compelling stories explored during the process.

Designed for a line of indoor and outdoor heating and grilling products, the concept drew inspirationfrom Norse mythology, specifically the figure of Sköll, the wolf who chases the sun. That elemental pursuit of heat and energy became the backbone of the brand narrative. Product names followed suit, referencing mythological and natural forces to create a bold, cohesive system. While the retailer ultimately selected a different direction, this concept stood out for its narrative depth and the creative possibilities it opened up.
